About Booksum

Booksum is a book-discovery community for people who love books — even the ones they haven't finished yet. Browse millions of titles, read sharp 15-minute AI summaries, talk to a chatbot that actually knows the book, and argue about it with other readers.

We built Booksum because reading shouldn't feel lonely, and discovery shouldn't feel like scrolling through ten lookalike "best of" lists. We pull metadata from open library catalogs, then layer on community: nominations, voting, comments, and a monthly Reader's Choice that anyone can shape.
